Barbara Schaffer Bacon co-directs Animating Democracy, a program of Americans for the Arts that inspires, informs, promotes, and connects arts and culture as potent contributors to civic dialogue and community and social change. A consultant in program design and evaluation, Barbara serves as an adviser for state and national arts agencies and private foundations.

Rick Kearns, Fellow for the Commonwealth Monument Project, will discuss his work on coordinating and facilitating the creation of a memory box dedicated to T. Morris Chester, the brilliant African American lawyer, journalist, activist, and leader from Harrisburg.
