Home to history-making icons like Frederick Douglass and Thurgood Marshall, Baltimore celebrates African American heritage all year long, but especially in February during Black History Month.
Baltimore plans a month of special exhibitions and events at revered cultural institutions such as the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture, Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park, and the National Great Blacks In Wax Museum.
You can visit all three with a special discounted rate through the Legends & Legacies Heritage Pass. After working up an appetite from all that exploring, be sure to stop by one of our African American-owned restaurants to support the local community.
