Coachella Valley Drive In Brings First Run, Never Before On the Big Screen Films to the Palm Springs

September 10, 2020, Palm Springs, CA: Starting this Friday, September 11, 2020, The Coachella Valley Drive In opens at the Historic Palm Springs Air Museum.  First run films presented September 11 through the 13th are Bill & Ted Face the Music, The New Mutants, and Unhinged.  Space is limited. The films screen on a huge 42 by 23 feet screen that starts at 8 feet from the ground. Grand opening is this Friday, September 11. Thereafter, films will show Thursday through Sunday evenings, after the Museum closes.  Sponsors are The Shalhoub Family – McDonald’s.  Each car with paid admission receives two coupons from McDonalds: one for a future free Breakfast Sandwich and one for a future free Big Mac. Limit is two coupons per car, and coupons can be redeemed at local McDonald’s restaurants only.

The Drive In – Coachella Valley is owned and operated by Socially Distanced Entertainment, LLC.  Partner Eric Aline says “Socially Distanced Entertainment is dedicated to bringing fun and safe events to the Coachella Valley. We hope to invigorate our local community through jobs and business opportunities. Furthermore, we hope to create a little escapism and some semblance of normalcy for our families. We chose the Palm Springs Air Museum because we are committed to involving our local partners.
