The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is ramping up for the 18th year of its beloved Miami Spice Restaurant Program. Since its inception in 2001, an estimated one million Miami Spice meals have been served. As the 2019 season approaches, all signs show a projected record-breaking year in terms of participating restaurants. The two-month long program – August 1 through September 30, 2019 – showcases Greater Miami and The Beaches’ diverse and ever-evolving culinary scene and celebrates the amazing restaurants and talents that make Miami & Beaches one of the nation’s most delicious destinations. Miami international Airport (MIA)

MIA welcomed 22.8 million passengers in 2018 (11.2 million international arrivals and 11.6 million domestic arrivals). MIA continues to attract new airline carriers as well as introduce new international routes through existing airline partners. MIA is home to more than 100 airlines, more than any other U.S. airport.

[if !supportLists]· [endif]Norwegian, voted Europe’s best low-cost carrier the past six years in a row by the SkyTrax World Airline Awards, began first-ever service at Miami International Airport on March 31, 2019. The launch gives travelers a daily nonstop option between MIA and London Gatwick Airport, aboard Norwegian’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft that seats 344 passengers in a two-class configuration.

This summer, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar is changing the way locals and tourists see the Wynwood Walls. WKB is now offering a Grab & Go bar on their patio, where guests can purchase beverages and food while they roam the works of renowned artists, including Shepard Fairey, Kobra, and Ron English. From 12:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, sightseers can purchase handheld bites like Tacos, Avocado Fries, Mango Fresco and Elote for $5 and under. Drink specials also include beer, wine, water and sodas for $12 and under. Elevate the Wynwood Walls experience with a guided walking tour, where you can learn about the 10-year history of Wynwood Walls, the ever-changing murals by some of the most legendary graffiti writers and street artists, and the evolving neighborhood. Without leaving Miami, whisk yourself away to the French Riviera and indulge in Bagatelle Miami Beach’s latest decadent menu. Paying homage to the French Mediterranean, Bagatelle’s new menu won’t disappoint – think truffle galore (Pizza à la Truffe Noire and Poulet Rôti Entier à la Truffe), a full crudo bar, French delicacies with a twist and more. The food hall craze doesn’t end with Time Out Market – Lincoln Eatery, the 9,600 square-foot space, features 16 artisan grab & go concepts. Hai Hospitality, the Austin, TX-based restaurant group, announced the location of its forthcoming Uchi in Miami, the company’s eighth restaurant. Owner and Executive Chef Tyson Cole’s Uchi will be located at 252 NW 25th Street in Wynwood 25, a new mixed-use development in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. Uchi Miami will mark the first time the group has opened a restaurant in Florida and its second restaurant outside of Texas. The menu at Uchi, which translated from Japanese means “house”, will include hot and cool tastings, makimono, yakimono, tempura and, of course, sushi and sashimi. The Secret World Inside You, a new special exhibition at the Philip and Patricia Frost Museum, will be on view from Saturday, May 25 through Sunday, September 8, 2019. Miami Off Road, specialized in off-the-beaten-path tours of Miami in French, is excited to announce its exclusive tour of the Everglades for French speakers. After meeting their guide in Miami Beach, visitors will cross Magic City towards the Everglades, viewing landmarks such as Art Deco buildings or the Freedom Tower along the way. Once in the Everglades, they will embark on an amazing 1.5 hour eco tour. No caged animals, only the beauty of the famous Florida Everglades.
