The new nonstop flight from New York JFK to Funchal, in Madeira Islands, via SATA Azores Airlines and through their partner Inovtravel, a Portugal based tour operator, launched on November 29. This is the first nonstop flight ever from a major USA gateway to Madeira directly, operating once a week on Mondays, until March 20, 2022. CoVid-19 RESTRICTIONS IN MADEIRA ISLANDS
Madeira is an autonomous region of Portugal and, therefore, the destination has different CoVid-19 restrictions. Currently, CoVid-19 rules in Madeira are less restrictive than in mainland Portugal.
Madeira is the only destination in Portugal that accepts the CDC vaccination card. Travelers that are not vaccinated can also visit Madeira by presenting a negative PCR test performed 72 hours or a rapid antigen test performed 48 hours prior to boarding.

Passengers may perform free test on arrival and await the result in prophylactic isolation (results are available between 12 to 24 hrs)
