Winnipeg - April 23, 2020 - The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) has just posted a new virtual architecture tour (link below), designed as a way for people who are homebound during the COVID-19 pandemic to explore the Museum. This is the third public virtual tour to be featured online since the Museum temporarily closed its doors on March 14.
This five-minute virtual tour takes you through different aspects of the Museum's world-class architecture. After flying around and above the building outside, you'll move inside to travel up glowing alabaster ramps, explore the Stuart Clark Garden of Contemplation, peer from the spiral staircase, and see panoramic vistas from the Israel Asper Tower of Hope. Narrator Paul Legris (a CMHR Exhibition Designer) shares how architect Antoine Predock drew inspiration from human rights concepts and from the Canadian landscape. The video includes exterior and interior footage shot by CMHR Digital Media Producer Aaron Cohen using various techniques including aerial footage and a 360-degree camera.
