Niagara Falls is Ready to Welcome All US Visitors Back to Canada’s Entertainment Capital

(Niagara Falls, Canada) The Fall season is a beautiful time to explore Niagara Falls as the majestic vistas along the Niagara River, Escarpment and throughout Niagara Falls are filled with quintessentially Canadian fall colours.

Effective October 1, 2022, the Government of Canada is removing COVID-19 entry restrictions for anyone entering Canada. While US visitors have been visiting Niagara Falls Canada all summer, this latest change in protocol will make visits to Canada easy. As of October 1st, there are no vaccine, quarantine or ArriveCAN app requirements to enter Canada for both land and air travellers.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors who come to enjoy the natural beauty of the fall season and all that Niagara Falls offers,” said Janice Thomson, President and CEO of Niagara Falls Tourism. “We’re grateful that border restrictions have been removed and look forward to welcoming even more of our US visitors back now that getting here is streamlined.”

Here are some great reasons to pack the car for an overnight visit in Niagara Falls Canada this fall season:

THE NEWEST VIEW

  • THE TUNNEL at the Niagara Parks Power Station: The architecturally stunning Niagara Parks Power Station introduces the newest view of the Falls. Travel 180 feet below ground in a glass walled elevator down the Tailrace Tunnel to emerge beside the thundering base of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls on a spectacular new viewing platform at the river’s edge.

EPIC WAYS TO ENJOY THE FALL COLOURS

  • Take in the Colours from High Above: Hover 457m (1,500 feet) above the Falls with Niagara Helicopters; Thrill at the incredible views at WildPlay Zipline to the Falls; Tower 236 metres above the mighty falls at the Skylon Tower or while dining at the Revolving Dining Room; Ride the gondola on the Niagara SkyWheel for incredible views of the Falls and city.

  • Follow the Mighty Niagara River: Marvel at the relentless power and beauty of the river in the autumn from the Whirlpool Aero Car overlooking the River Gorge and one of the world’s wildest stretches of whitewater (class 6 rapids!) or experience the views from the WildPlay Whirlpool Adventure Course. Hike the Niagara Glen, a designated Nature Reserve with 4 km (2.5 mi) of paths that wind through a pristine pocket of Carolinian Forest.

  • Birder’s Paradise: See one of the world’s greatest gatherings of gulls and other migrating birds. Starting mid-November, the river comes alive with more than 100,000 birds on migratory flights from as far north as Greenland and the Canadian Arctic to as far south as Florida.

  • Fall for the Blooms: Admire the autumn colours outdoors, then head inside to explore the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse’s Annual Chrysanthemum Show from October 8 to November 13, 2022 featuring arrangements, individual blooms and bushes, all bursting with bold autumn shades of red, gold, white and orange.

  • Relax with a View: The newly renovated Christienne Fallsview Spa at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel includes breathtaking views of the Falls and a popular infinity tub. The new Marriott Fallsview Burning Springs Spa & Thermal Pool is an homage to the original location of a natural spring of burning water and offers three thermal pools with salt and minerals to soothe and restore. While seated in the outdoor pools, relax to the sound of the roaring Falls nearby.

  • Feel the Breeze as you take in the fall colours on a scenic tour of the Niagara Parkway passing by the Falls, exploring nearby Niagara wine region, historic sites and trails on your own bike or e-bike. Or run along the Niagara River from Buffalo, NY, ending at the majestic Horseshoe Falls in Canada in the annual Niagara Falls International Marathon.

  • Fun for Kids of All Ages: Test your driving skills on the Niagara Speedway, North America’s largest elevated go cart track; have a friendly competition at Dinosaur Adventure Golf, one of the country’s largest outdoor mini golf courses with over 50 life sized dinosaurs. Get spooky at Safari Niagara for BOO at the ZOO from October 7-10. Activities and events plus FREE admission for children 12 & under in costume. Join the ghoulish fun at All Hallows’ Eve, with spooky Halloween tales and the fascinating history of some of the most beloved Halloween traditions.

  • Explore Nearby Wine Country: Sip and savour your way through critically acclaimed locally inspired FeastON certified farm-to-table dining options, award-winning wines, craft brews and spirits to experience the best that Niagara Falls has to offer when you visit Niagara’s famous nearby wine region.
