TAP Air Portugal Moves to Terminal One at New York’s JFK

New York, NY (February, 2022) – TAP Air Portugal moved terminals last week at New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport, from Terminal 5 to Terminal 1. Christine Ourmières-Widener, CEO of TAP, was present at the inauguration of TAP's operations at Terminal 1 at JFK airport, to which TAP has already resumed daily flights, and said that "Since November, TAP is again flying on every route from the United States that was in operation before the pandemic."

From the US, TAP flies nonstop to Lisbon from Newark (14 weekly flights in 2022 summer peak), New York/JFK (7), Boston (6), Washington/Dulles (5), Miami (5), Chicago (3), San Francisco (3), as well as Newark to Porto (6).

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is working with a Consortium of financial sponsors to build a 2.4 million square foot state-of-the-art new international terminal one. When completed, the $9.5 billion project will be the largest terminal at JFK.
