Palm Springs Air Museum’s Halloween Chili & Classic Car Show Offers Fun for the Whole Family

Palm Springs, California; October 17, 2023: The 14th Annual Chili Tasting & Car Rally at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Saturday October 28, 2023 offers Halloween fun for the whole family.


Free admission for children 12 and under with at least one paying adult.


You will be excited by the different kinds of cars inside and out sponsored by the Desert Classic Car Association. Thrill as you get up close to the dozens of vintage WWII, Korea – Vietnam, and Operation Desert Storm aircraft inside the hangars and on the ramp. Give your taste buds a work-out by tasting the differing kinds of chili made from recipes from museum docents, volunteers and staff. Visitors get to vote for their favorite car and chili by category.

The Car Show is included with museum admission which ranges from $21 - $23 with special family rates ranging from $60 to $85. Car Rally hours are 10 am - 2 pm. Car Show Trophy Presentation at 2:00 PM.

The Chili Tastes start at 11 am while supplies last! Chili tastes are $1 per taste or six tastes for $5, after paying admission to the Museum. Chili Voting ends at 2:30. There are also items up for raffle. All funds raised from the Tastings benefit the Palm Springs Air Museum Volunteer Holiday Fund.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is an educational non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and honor our veterans while educating future generations. One of the largest collections of flying WWII aircraft, as well as Korea and Vietnam era and more modern aircraft from Operation Desert Storm are housed in 91,000 square feet of climate-controlled hangar space. Movies show in the Ron Auen Theatre continuously after 11 am. Open daily, 10 am – 5 PM (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and Feb. 17, 2024) normal admission ranges from $21 to $23, free for children 5 and under and for active military with ID.
